Hello, and welcome to the Bible Reader app changelog page, available both for iPhone/iOS (🍎) and Android (🤖).

We are constantly making the effort to release new features, improvements and bug fixes to the Bible Reader app, so it’s important that you keep the app always updated to get the most from your Bible readings with the help of our app specialized tools.

Bible Reader App Changelog

This page details the complete version history of the Bible Reader app, providing a comprehensive overview of each version of the app released to date.

The updates are presented in descending chronological order, meaning that the most recent versions of the application appear first, while older versions are listed near the bottom of the page.

Notation

To denote for which platforms each version of the app has been realeased, we will use the following notation:

  • 🍎: This apple, although not bitten, indicates that the version has been made available for iOS/iPhone devices.
  • 🤖: This robot indicates that the version has been made available for Android devices.
  • 🤖🍎 or 🍎🤖: The robot and the apple combined together, in any order, indicate that the version has been made available for both iOS/iPhone and Android devices.

  • Fixed loading of the Bible reading scope tree to correctly flag whether parts of the Bible are part of the full or partial reading scope.
  • Correction of notifications for reading progress and recovery of reading delay.

  • Removed the minimum length limit for readings. It is now possible to create Bible readings of any length on both the free and paid plans.

  • Partial Bible Readings: Now you can create partial Bible readings to read any combination of books and parts of the Bible that you want!
    • Example: create partial reading plans for the book of Genesis and the four Gospels, the Pentateuch or the Prophetic books, etc.!
    • Choose which books you want to include in your Bible reading! This is a great feature to study specific parts of the Bible without having to include the entire Bible in each of your readings.

Version 2.3.0 🤖

  • Simplification of “Create New Bible Reading” screen: we removed the need to inform the reading start date, which makes creating new Bible readings simpler, more direct and objective. From now on the Bible reading start date is set to be the same date on which the Bible reading is being created. In other words, your Bible reading automatically starts on the day you create this reading in the app.
  • Pre-defined 9-Month Duration Goal Option: A new predefined option has been added for creating Bible readings that are nine months long. This option can be accessed both when creating new Bible readings and when changing the completion goal of the selected active Bible reading.
  • Improvement in the Process of Changing the Completion Goal for Bible Readings: The same predefined reading completion goal options found on the new Bible reading registration screen are now also available on the screen for changing the completion goal for the selected active Bible reading.
  • Removed Option to Change Bible Reading Start Date: from this update onwards, the start date of the Bible reading becomes fixed and can no longer be modified on the control screen of the selected active Bible reading.

New Feature

Implemented new Weekly Bible Reading Plan feature with free reading days.

Improvements on the Readings List Screen

A red “expired reading” label is now displayed in place of the day’s progress of expired Bible readings listed on this screen.

Improvements to the Selected Active Bible Reading Control Screen

  • Added a settings tab for the selected active Bible reading. In the settings tab, the user now can:
    • Change the description of the selected Bible reading.
    • Set up the weekly reading plan for the selected Bible reading.
    • Change the start date and goal completion date for the selected active Bible reading.
  • Moved the reading description card to the new settings tab for the selected active Bible reading.
  • Simplified the process of changing the description of the selected active Bible reading: now simply tap the pencil-shaped icon on the Bible reading description card instead of selecting the single menu option that previously existed on that card.
  • Renamed the “Reading Plan” card to “Reading Period” and moved it to the new settings tab for the selected active Bible reading (previously this card appeared in the statistics tab).
  • Evolved first-time user tutorial to present the options available in the settings tab for the selected active Bible reading.

Improved the Presentation of Details of the New Installed Version of the App
